Odd Act Theatre Group began as an ensemble of twelve students who performed a collection of original short plays in a pavilion in a public park. We paid for the performance with a bake sale. The following year we launched our first summer theatre camp with Hamilton Township and performed our first full-length play, All the Rabbits. In 2010, our actors made their first tour to Canada and we formed a new ensemble of professional actors in Washington, DC. That year, we also staged our first major educational production, Peter Pan, at the Paul Robeson Center for the Arts in Princeton. The following year we made our first trip overseas performing Robert Cousins' How the Money Goes at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Also in 2011, our educational theatre program completed its first full-year program including our Halloween Ghost Show, Holiday Production, and Spring musical. Today, our professional ensemble continues to tour and perform as the Phenomenal Animals, and our touring actors teach and direct our student actors throughout our educational season. We recently brought back our improvisational comedy group, Odd Lib, and are planning to tour productions to Philadelphia and New York in the coming season.
